Omar Carranza

RISE Program Coordinator

Omar Carranza is the coordinator for the 9th Grade RISE Program.

Previously, Omar held a position as a Youth Supervisor at The Food Project, a food justice nonprofit in Boston & Lynn. He is excited to continue his passion for mentoring, with a focus on social emotional learning amongst the youth he supervises. In his free time, Omar enjoys traveling, going to sporting events and listening to music.  A fun fact about Omar is that he is the first person in his family to graduate college!

He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in social work from Salem State University and is working towards a Master’s degree in counseling psychology.
