Camp Harbor View serves over 1,000 youth each year from Boston’s underserved neighborhoods, at no cost to the youth or their families, in three major program areas: Summer Camp, Leadership Academy and Youth and Family Support Services.
Located on Long Island in the Boston Harbor, the Summer Camp welcomes 900 kids in grades 6-8 to (2) four-week sessions in July or August and offers a leadership development and summer jobs program for 100 teens. Camp Harbor View also provides round-trip transportation to camp, apparel, three meals per day, and access to school year resources and support services.
Building on the summer experience, the Leadership Academy offers exceptional programs for young leaders in grades 9-12 from its South End location. Comprised of the 9th grade RISE program and the Leader in Training program for grades 10-12, the Leadership Academy is designed to provide young people the tools and resources they need to be successful in high school and beyond.
Young people have continued access throughout the year to the Youth and Family Support team, who assists youth and their families with a range of social, emotional and financial concerns as well as offers life-skill programs focused on financial education, mentoring, job readiness and more.
