On Monday, October 5th, we celebrated the inaugural CHV Golf Classic at Oyster Harbors Club.

Led by committee members Sonja Kelly, Joe Craven, Tim Galvin, Kevin McKeon, Ben Sutton, Anthony Tivnan, and Orlando Watkins, the event was both an incredible day out on the course and a reminder of our commitment to Boston’s future leaders and their families.

Thanks to the support from longstanding and new friends to CHV, we were able to raise over $272,000 that will go directly to our three program areas: free summer camp, year-round leadership development, and family partnership.

After a shotgun-style tournament played on the historic Oyster Harbors course, golfers attended an evening reception and auction. A highlight of the evening was the presence of Zayden Araujo, a 9th grader at Boston Latin School who recently joined the Leadership Academy. Zayden discovered a talent for golf during his summers at Camp Harbor View and he recently made the golf team at BLS.

We’re so grateful to everyone who joined us and can’t wait to see you next year!
