Today, we're excited to showcase Darius Anderson,

Today, we're excited to showcase Darius Anderson, a CHV alum and senior finance major at Tuskegee University. Inspired by watching his grandfather cook and the joy it brought to others, Darius founded his incredible black-owned business, Weekend at Rudy's. He's bringing the vibrant flavors of the Caribbean to the table, one dish at a time! Check out his page @rudemon_finyam and try some of his amazing dishes.

"My name is Darius, and I'm m from Boston, Massachusetts. A senior finance major at Tuskegee University. My connection to CHV comes from my summers being a camper and exploring all different and great amenities of the camp, to bring an LIT and mentoring the campers into becoming well rounded individuals. What inspired me to start my business was watching my grandfather cook and seeing the joy it brought people.

My business, Weekend at Rudy's, is all about bringing the vibrant flavors of the Caribbean to customers. We specialize in jerk chicken, oxtail, and other traditional dishes, using recipes passed down through generations. We're committed to using fresh, locally sourced ingredients and creating a dining experience that's both delicious and culturally enriching.

I'm incredibly grateful for the experiences, especially at Camp Harbor View, that have shaped me and prepared me for this next chapter. CHV instilled in me the importance of value and community, leadership, and I carry that with me in everything I do."
