Reports to: Director of Events and Partnerships, supporting Director of Philanthropic Operations
Location: 79 Newbury St., Boston, MA, (Moving in 12/25 to 135 Morrissey Blvd, Boston, MA)
Hours: Full-time, salary 

Summary

The Development Coordinator at Camp Harbor View plays a key role in supporting the organization’s fundraising efforts by assisting with the planning, coordination, and execution of events and partnerships. Reporting to the Director of Events and Partnerships, this position is responsible for managing logistics for fundraising events, cultivating relationships with donors and partners, and ensuring the smooth operation of all development-related activities. The Development Coordinator will help drive the success of Camp Harbor View’s mission by providing critical administrative support, tracking event outcomes, and assisting in donor stewardship initiatives. This is an ideal position for a detail-oriented and proactive individual with a passion for nonprofit development and community engagement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Event Planning & Coordination: 
    • Support the planning and execution of key events, including the annual Beach Ball gala, 5K Road Race, and other fundraising and donor engagement events.
    • Create and manage guest invitation lists, ensuring accurate tracking and follow-ups.
    • Serve as a liaison for event attendees, sponsors, and vendors.
    • Coordinate sponsorship listings for major donors and event partners working closely with the marketing and communications team.
    • Support event logistics, including table seating arrangements, venue coordination, vendor relationships.
    • Manage the event registration platform (Givesmart) to track attendance and contributions.
    • Provide on-site event support, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Fundraising & Donor Engagement Support:
    • Assist in developing fundraising strategies and donor engagement initiatives.
    • Track event sponsorships, pledges, and donations to support fundraising goals.
    • Maintain donor records and relationships in Salesforce, ensuring accurate reporting.
    • Support post-event stewardship efforts, including donor acknowledgments and follow-ups.
  • Volunteer & Corporate Engagement:
    • Coordinate corporate volunteer events and tours to camp.
    • Serve as a point of contact for volunteer groups, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Administrative & Communications Support:
    • Assist in creating fundraising materials specific to event donors and sponsors.
    • Manage tax receipts, thank-you notes, and other donor correspondence. 
    • Generate reports and mailing lists to support event outreach and follow-ups.
    • Salesforce data entry.
    • Support in donation and finance reconciliation
    • Support in administrative work for yearly tax audit
    • Pulling reports from salesforce for quarterly reporting and meetings
    • This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Salesforce experience preferred. Some evening and weekend availability will be required. This role requires a high level of professionalism and are comfortable being donor-facing at events and meetings.  
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required, or equivalent certifications and/or experience
  • 2+ years of experience in development or related field
  • Experience with managing fundraising or sales relationships
  • Experience working with fast-paced teams
  • Fluency with technology (especially Microsoft Office Excel)
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A focus on service and problem solving
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines, and follow through on commitments
