Elise O’Meara, LCSW
Leader in Training Program Manager
Elise O’Meara serves as the Leader in Training Program Manager at Camp Harbor View. In this role, Elise is responsible for the management of the Leader In Training Program, which supports 100 high school aged youth through Camp Harbor View’s Leadership Academy. Elise oversees 40 youth in the twelfth grade cohort as well as the implementation of the year-long leadership curriculum. Elise leads her team of two youth workers in providing leadership workshops, mentoring, academic support, and summer employment for all youth in the program.
Elise began her career in youth work at the Browne Middle School in Chelsea, Massachusetts as a paraprofessional in the Alternative Learning program. After four years, Elise transitioned to Chelsea High School serving as a Student Advocate in a Dropout Prevention Program. Both programs provided supports for students identified at risk of not graduating based on high levels of absenteeism, failing grades in core classes, or recurring disciplinary infractions.
Elise has been a member of the Camp Harbor View team since 2012, serving in various roles during the summer before joining the team full time in 2015. Elise holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from The University of Massachusetts, Amherst and a Master’s degree in Social Work from Simmons University.
