Christopher Andrew is a clinician at Camp Harbor View. As a member of the Youth and Family Support Team, he works to identify the social and emotional needs in the most culturally sensitive and collaborative way.
Chris was born and raised in the inner city, Roxbury, MA to be exact. He went on to graduate from Emmanuel College with a Major in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. He furthered his education and obtained his master’s at Cambridge College and got a degree in School Adjustment Counseling and Mental Health.
Chris has always been dedicated to working with young people from diverse backgrounds, whether it be race, ethnicity, or socioeconomic status. He has worked in many different capacities, but his primary focus has been in residential and school settings. Chris believes that a positive therapeutic relationship is the foundation of treatment and that without it, you cannot build anything meaningful and lasting. He believes that by having all relevant parties to a child’s life (home, community, school, family) involved in some way, that one can better the chances of reaching one’s goals.
Chris is currently working towards his License for Mental Health Counseling (LMHC).
