Imani Pressley

Clinical Social Worker

Imani Pressley is a clinical social worker who has worked in various youth and family serving systems. Prior to coming to Camp Harbor View, Imani worked as a Boston Public School social worker where she led Social Emotional Learning (SEL) initiatives through individual and group counseling, case management services, and after school programming.

Imani’s practice is rooted in the Afrocentric Perspective; she aims to provide healing spaces to youth of color by affirming and integrating cultural experiences into therapeutic settings. Imani believes it is important to utilize racial equity frameworks when working in youth development organizations that serve children of color. She is very passionate about addressing systemic inequities and aims to do so by inspiring the next generation of leaders and providing them with the tools to succeed.

Imani obtained a Bachelor of Social Work from Clark Atlanta University and a Master of Social Work from Boston College. She is a Boston native, by way of the Dorchester neighborhood, and an alumna of Boston Latin Academy.
