Have you ever wanted to be on tv? CHV TV is your chance. The program is hosted and co-produced by a team of LITs and is aired twice a month on the Boston Neighborhood Network. Topics include performances, camp updates, and community news.
Do you ever feel like no one understands what you’re going through? Girl Talk offers a space to be heard and supported by your peers. We will discuss everything from relationships to stress management.
This will be a fun opportunity to make friends and learn about topics that impact their everyday lives. Young men will participate in fun outings, such as sports games and rock climbing.
CHV Studios is for teens, ages 14+. This program provides youth the opportunity to try different art mediums (paper, clay, pastels, metal, print, etc) each week in order to create pieces of artwork. The program will run for 10 weeks and each week will have a new focus. Art is a powerful outlet for teens to express themselves, manage stress, and engage in creative thinking. Teens will share their art with the group at the end of each workshop.
Adventure Club will take campers on local, outdoor excursions, such as hiking, outdoor cooking, rock climbing, geocaching, camping etc. This is an exciting opportunity to try new activities and for teens to make new friends.
Teens will learn to skateboard over the course of 6 groups sessions during this 3 week program. Teens will learn the tricks and techniques to become a skateboarder. Protective gear and instruction by trained staff will be provided. This is a great opportunity to help teens be active and to gain some balance skills and boarding skills.
The CHV Service Corps is a council of LITs who are responsible for planning monthly service projects. The Council will engage the CHV community in these projects under the guidance of the CHV staff. Volunteer projects will occur monthly. Through service projects this group will be ambassadors to the city of Boston and through the trip they will be ambassadors to another city.
